Since personal and professional coaching first originated in the 1980’s, it has become one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
The PWC & ICF coaching study estimated there were 53,300 coach practitioners worldwide, and a further 10,900 leaders and managers using coaching skills at work in 2016.
As the profession continues to grow and evolve, so do the people we coach, it is a natural consequence! As the landscape of coaching changes, this poses a challenge for coaches. At the heart of what you do you want to make a difference to people, but what people need is changing with the times. This means that as a practitioner you must continue to be aware of, and understand how shifts in the outer world affect you and affect the people you serve.
